Thus, our primary objective in seeking additional funding is not the commencement of these programs but to expand the number of schools & students we can impact.

This is our time to celebrate scholarship recipients and fathers. Also, we continue our tradition of awarding scholarship funds to young people transitioning to college and continuing collegiate studies.
Beta Omega Social Services founded its MGSP scholarship after the passing of Michael J. Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert was a single father who deeply loved his daughter, Lauren. After Michael’s untimely death in October 1994, Beta Omega began the Michael J. Gilbert Scholarship Program (MGSP) to honor his commitment to Fatherhood and Scholarship.
We awarded the first Michael J. Gilbert Scholarship (MGSP) to Lauren Nicole Gilbert in 1998. The MGSP has since grown into a funding opportunity for Washington, DC, area students seeking additional funds for their higher education needs.
